Vrbanj
is
a
village in the western interior of the island of Hvar, 5 km
southeast of Stari Grad.
Chief occupations are farming, wine production, olive and
vegetable growing and cultivation of lavender. This place,
situated within olive groves and vineyards, has interesting
architecture, walled- round the houses with loopholes, that used
to provide protection from the pirates in the past centuries. |
