Podgora
is
a village and port in the Makarska littoral, 9 km southeast of
Makarska.
Chief occupations include farming, growing of vines and olives,
seafaring, fishing and tourism. A beautiful beach, plenty of
greenery, very good hotels and restaurants make Podgora one of the
favourite tourist destinations. Re-creation enthusiasts are
offered four tennis courts, as well as various playgrounds for
indoor football, basketball and beach volleyball. Various
workshops are also provided: yachting, windsurfing, water-skiing;
equipment for water sports and boats are also rented. |
