Grohote
is
a village on the island of
Šolta,
3 km from the coast and the Rogač
harbour.
Economy is based on farming, viticulture, olive growing, livestock
breeding, processing of synthetic materials and production of
building materials.
In Grohote visitors may buy the famous Solta honey, pollen and
propolis, as well as taste some of the local specialities. Among
the events held in Grohote, the most important feast day is the
Assumption of Our Lady (15th of August), accompanied by a folk
fiesta. |
