Silo
is
a
village and port on the eastern coast of the northern part of the
island of Krk, in the cove of Stipanja, opposite of Crikvenica.
Apart from quality accommodation facilities (apartments, rooms)
and restaurants, visitor opportunities include water sports,
especially underwater fishing. The local harbour offers berths for
sports and other boats.
The cove is protected from
south and east winds by a narrow and low peninsula, which ends in
the cape of the same name. Economy is based on farming and
fishing. Silo is connected with the interior of the island of Krk
by a regional road. |
