Pomena
is a village and small harbour in the cove bearing the same name,
on the western coast of the island of Mljet, 2 km west of
Govedari; population 50. In the 19th century it was called Pomina.
Chief occupations are farming, fishing and tourism. It offers
various sports and recreational facilities; visitors are offered
bicycles, canoes and surfboards; yachting and diving workshops are
-also organized. There are also hiking opportunities.
