Korita
is a village in the interior of the eastern part of the island of
Mljet, 7 km east of Maranovići. The chief occupation is farming.
The village was named after stone troughs that were used as water
containers during rainy days and filled with water from the nearby
source. The closeness to the sea and the quietness of peaceful
island seclusion make Korita a pleasant destination. |
