Goveđari
is a village in the interior of the north-western part of
the island of Mljet, 5 km above the Veliko Jezero (Big Lake) bay.
Chief occupations are farming, viticulture, olive growing and
fishing. Govedari is the only larger settlement in Mljet National
Park, and also the seat of the national park management.
