LIZNJAN, a village in the southern part of Istria, 12 km
south-west of Pula, 2 km north-east of Medulin.Chief
occupati-ons are farming and tourism (horsemanship). |

A picturesque fishermen's village, a resort for all the tourists
who want to avoid summer crowds, with a nice beach in the
vicinity. Angling represents a possible pastime as well as
hunting (hare, partridge, pheasant) in the surroundings. There
is a ranch called "Libora" situated between Medulin and Liznjan,
offering riding for already trained riders, as well as trekking.
Competitions in show jumping are organized on the ranch.
Liznjan has several inns, wine cellars and catering
establishments of other kind. |
